Luang Prabang's two districts receive rice

(KPL) The Labour and Social Welfare Service of Luang Prabang has presented 628.5 tonnes of rice to villagers who are in famine in two districts of the province.
The rice has been donated by the Wold Food Programme. The presentation took place on 20 August with 83.490 tonnes presented to Phoukhoune and 130,000 tonnes to Xieng Ngeun. The both districts house over 1,500 families of over 7,300 people.
The service will further present the WFP-donated rice to the rest four districts namely Viengkham 131 tonnes; Ngoy 123 tonnes; Phonxay 103 tonnes ; and Chomephet 55 tonnes. wThe rest district have over 12,000 people.
